Thanksgiving Day Dessert Jealousy

This post is about food porn and dessert envy/jealousy.

I was busy and lazy during this Thanksgiving day weekend. I baked, ate food, and played Nintendo Wii all weekend. I also got hammered on the Saturday following Thanksgiving Day to take the brewer and owner of Russian River Brewing Company Vinnie Cilurzo, around Boston for a night. So I laid low for the weekend. 

So anyway, I thought I would brag a little bit about what I did for TGD and catch you up to what I was doing all weekend. I bake as a hobby. And this year I thought I would have a little fun.

The first thing I made was Toffee Walnut Pumpkin Pies. Basically traditional pumpkin pie with a toffee and walnut topping on the pie. So delicious.

Then I made Fig jam and Mascarpone cookies. I also made cut out sugar cookies and chocolate chip cookies. But I didn't take pictures of those.

And last but not least, I made a Mississippi Mud Cake. Or a chocolate, espresso, bourbon bundt cake, with an espresso and bourbon glaze.

Heidi Klum Really Gets Into Halloween

This year she came as the Hindi Goddess Kali. The goddess of death. She really gets in to this shit with the amount of detail. But that is how Halloween should be. So many people half step when it comes to getting dressed up. If you have the money to be anything you want to be, you can have costumes made for you and whatever else you need, then why not go all out?

 

Heidi seems to really enjoy costumes with fangs involved. Check out some previous costumes of hers.
