My Latest Obsession

The new show on HBO called Summer Heights High.

It's from Australia. It is old now down there, but has newly arrived in the States. It's fucking hilarious.

The premise is about life in high school focusing on 3 characters played by one man named Chris Lilley.

There is Ja'mie King, the private school transplant, who is a dreadful snob but oblivious to that fact.

Jonah Takalua, The island kid with serious disruptive problems, and a foul mouth.

Mr. G, the high school drama teacher, and Broadway legend in his own mind.

My favorite is Jonah. Chris has really nailed the accents. I don't know how they keep a straight face or how many takes they must go through.
